Medina Alert for fatal Greeley crash cancelled

The crash happened near 8th Avenue and 24th Street in Greeley, according to police.

GREELEY, Colo. — A Medina Alert for a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Greeley early Monday morning has been cancelled at the request of the Greeley Police Department.

The original alert, issued Monday morning, was for a black 2017-2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee with unknown license plates that was seen traveling Southbound on 8th Avenue near 24th Street, according to police. At about 12:03 a.m., the Jeep hit a bicyclist who was traveling west on 24th Street, police said.

The bicyclist died at the scene, according to police. The Jeep left the scene with front end damage from the crash, according to police.
