FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Fort Collins Police Services said on Tuesday they arrested a man seen masturbating outside businesses in view of employees multiple times over the past eight months.
After an investigation, police arrested the suspect, Stephen Masalta, 32, on Tuesday and booked him into the Larimer County jail on 14 counts of indecent exposure dating back to July 2023, according to police.
Many of the incidents happened at local coffee shops. In at least one case, a victim was a juvenile, police said.
Police believe there may be additional victims who have not come forward. They asked anyone with information who has not contacted law enforcement to call Fort Collins Police Officer Dalton Brown at 970-416-2825.
“These brazen criminal acts are deeply troubling for both the community and Fort Collins Police," said Fort Collins Police Assistant Chief Adam McCambridge, who oversees the Special Operations Division of the Fort Collins Police Department. "I’m grateful for the dedicated work that our teams did to identify and apprehend this suspect.”
