EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. — A one-time ticket broker in Colorado is now facing a felony charge, after customers say she owes them a lot of money.
The case is moving from social media complaints into the court system. Thursday morning, 32-year-old Talia Yadgar briefly appeared in court in El Paso County, where she faces a felony theft charge.
Steve On Your Side first exposed the troubles behind Ticket Secrets, LLC last month. Yadgar ran the company until the business ran into trouble this summer, when customers told Steve On Your Side Yadgar was unable to deliver on promised and paid-for tickets. Customers say she claimed a family emergency, stopped responding to messages and never offered refunds.
Buyers organized a Facebook group tracking what they were collectively owed. An attorney for Yadgar told Steve On Your Side funds for Ticket Secrets were frozen pending the company filing bankruptcy.
The felony charge is tied to an El Paso County customer. Court documents say the customer paid $2,500 to Ticket Secrets for Taylor Swift tickets. The buyer then tried to get a refund after she realized Ticket Secrets was in business trouble. Court documents say that customer never got her money back.
Yadgar did not answer a reporter’s question as she left the El Paso County courthouse Thursday morning. She is due back in court August 16.
