DENVER — A FedEx driver was shot after someone carjacked their delivery truck while driving in a north Denver neighborhood Monday night, according to police and FedEx.
Denver Police said they responded to the 4700 block of North Vine Street around 4:30 p.m. Monday. The driver was taken to a hospital after being shot. Police said that the driver's injuries were not life-threatening.
Officers recovered the stolen delivery truck about two miles away from where the carjacking occurred, in the 5300 block of Garfield Street, police said.
FedEx released a statement on the shooting that involved their driver: "We are concerned for the well-being of our team member, and we are fully cooperating with investigating authorities. As this is an ongoing investigation, any additional questions should be directed to law enforcement."
Police said they are investigating the shooting and carjacking and trying to figure out whether anything was stolen from the delivery truck.
No arrests have been made.
