Three years have passed, and the family of 48-year-old John Jacoby, who was shot and killed in Windsor in 2015, is still waiting for answers.
On Thursday, the Northern Colorado Shooting Task Force announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with two of six shootings the group has been investigating since 2015.
But Jacoby's homicide remains unsolved.
Officials said Thursday that no evidence ties suspect Christopher David Parker to any shootings other than the shooting death of Loveland man William Connole and a shooting at a motorcyclist, which resulted in no injuries.
"It's hard to put in words," John's brother Mark said, describing his feelings as a roller coaster. "We were feeling encouraged (at the arrest), relief, and then at the same time, after the news came out that they weren't connected, disappointed, of course."
