DENVER — A Denver Deputy Sheriff is on investigatory leave after being arrested by Broomfield Police on Saturday morning.
The Denver Sheriff Department (DSD) said that Denver Deputy Sheriff Christopher Perez was arrested Saturday morning by the Broomfield Police Department on charges of assault in the second degree and domestic violence.
DSD said Perez was immediately placed on investigatory leave.
The sheriff department said that Perez has served as a deputy sheriff there since 2016. He was assigned to the Vehicle Impound Facility (VIF).
Information surrounding Perez's arrest have not been released.
