DENVER — A shelter-in-place order was lifted in an area of Denver's downtown after police investigated a shots-fired call.
About 9:50 a.m., the Denver Police Department (DPD) received a call for shots fired near 17th and Curtis streets. Officers responded to the area and began their investigation. Police asked people in the immediate area to shelter-in-place.
Denver Police said the person who fired the shots was believed to be barricaded in the area. About 1:15 p.m., they said officers had taken a suspect into custody and were working to clear the scene and reopen roads.
No injuries were reported, police said.
