1 taken to hospital after Tuesday morning shooting in Denver

Denver Police are investigating a shooting that happened near East 1st Avenue and Quebec Street.

DENVER — One person was injured after a shooting that happened early Tuesday morning in Denver.

The Denver Police Department got a report of the shooting around 5:26 a.m., according to police. Officers were called out to the intersection of East 1st Avenue and Quebec Street. That's in the Lowry neighborhood.

The victim was transported to the hospital, according to Denver Police.

The intersection of Quebec Street and East 1st Avenue was closed Tuesday morning as officers were on scene.
