DENVER — Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in east Denver Saturday night.

The Denver Police Department posted on X just before 6:40 p.m. Saturday that they were investigating a shooting in the 4800 block of East Hale Parkway.

The victim got to the hospital on his own, police said.

Police later said the man had been pronounced dead, and that they were investigating his death as a homicide. The Denver coroner's officer identified the victim as 34-year-old Baldemar Ortiz De La Fuente. His cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds, the coroner's office said.

No one has been arrested as of Saturday night.
