DENVER — Police said they are investigating a shooting Thursday night in Denver that left a man dead.
The Denver Police Department tweeted around 6:45 p.m. Thursday that they were investigating a shooting in the 800 block of North Gaylord Street, near Cheesman Park.
They found one victim, and police said at the time that the extent of his injuries was unknown.
On Friday, Denver Police said that the man had died and the shooting was being investigated as a homicide. Investigators are working to develop suspect information. No information about the circumstances of the shooting has been released.
The victim has been identified as Michael Milligan, 28.
