Police issue crime alert for suspect in a child enticement incident

A picture of the suspect and a public plea were released to help identify the man police want to talk to.

DENVER — The Denver Police Department has issued a crime alert asking for the public's help identifying a suspect in a child enticement incident that happened at a local Walmart. 

Police said the alleged crime occurred at the Walmart at 7800 East Smith Road on March 4, 2020, at approximately 4:30 p.m.

The alert did not include much detail about what happened but did have a picture of the suspect.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or by visiting metrodenvercrimestoppers.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000. 

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers are notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
