AURORA, Colo. — A Denver patrol officer was arrested in Aurora on domestic violence charges.
The Denver Police Department said Friday that they were notified that Ramone Young was arrested Thursday in Aurora. No other details were immediately released regarding the circumstances of his arrest. 9NEWS has reached out to Aurora Police for additional information.
Young has been with the Denver Police Department since 2013 and was most recently assigned to the department's patrol division. Following his arrest, Denver Police said he was moved to a "non-patrol" assignment as the case makes its way through the court system.
Denver Police said they'll do their own administrative review once the criminal case is complete.
Court records indicate Young currently faces two charges of harassment, both are misdemeanors. He made his first court appearance Friday afternoon and is due back in court next week.
