DENVER — A woman has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting on Wednesday night.
The Denver Police Department (DPD) posted on X at 9:22 p.m. Wednesday that officers were investigating a shooting in the 3900 block of Malta Street in Green Valley Ranch.
One person was taken to the hospital, police said. It wasn't clear at the time how seriously he was injured.
At 10:09 p.m., DPD posted that the man had been pronounced dead at the hospital and that they were investigating his death as a homicide.
On Thursday, police said they had arrested 59-year-old Valerie London-Griffin in connection with the shooting. They said their preliminary investigation revealed that it was a domestic violence incident and that she and the victim were involved in a fight before the shooting.
London-Griffin is being held for investigation of second-degree murder, according to police.
The victim has been identified as 59-year-old Gary Griffin.
