4 outdoor deaths reported amid freezing conditions in Denver

The causes of death are under investigation.

DENVER — Denver Police are investigating four outdoor deaths reported Saturday and Sunday amid freezing conditions.

DPD said around 4:45 p.m. Saturday that they were investigating a death in the area of the 2400-block of Alcott Street.

Around 6:22 p.m., DPD said officers were investigating another outdoor death in the area of the 1700-block of Wewatta Street near Union Station.

At 7:35 a.m. Sunday, DPD said officers were investigating a third outdoor death in the area of East Colfax Avenue and St. Paul Street.

Just after 5 p.m. Sunday, police said they were investigating an outdoor death in the area of Broadway and Bayaud Avenue.

The victims and their causes of death will be released by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner. DPD was investigating if cold weather may have been a factor in their deaths.

DPD said it will provide an update if any of the deaths are determined to be homicides.

Scattered snow showers moved out late Saturday, and all winter weather alerts were been allowed to expire. However, dangerously cold overnight lows are forecasted to stick around for a few more nights.
