Credit card skimming devices found at Conoco gas station

Two credit card skimming devices were discovered Thursday night during routine maintenance at a Conoco gas station in Superior.

SUPERIOR – Two credit card skimming devices were discovered Thursday night during routine maintenance at a Conoco gas station in Superior.

The gas station is located at 122 W. Maple Street. Police say the skimming devices were found inside pay-at-the-pump consoles.

It’s unclear how long the skimming devices had been in place, or how many debit and credits cards could have been compromised. The devices were removed and seized as evidence, police said.

Anyone who has used a pay-at-the-pump console at the gas station is asked to carefully review their debit and credit bank statements, and are strongly urged to request replacement cards.

Anyone with information related to the placement of the skimming devices is asked to contact Detective Chris Fiegel at 303-441-4763. Those who wish to remain anonymous should contact Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
