LITTLETON, Colo. — A 41-year-old man is under arrest and suspected of running over a person after an argument about a minor crash Monday night in Littleton, according to police.
Littleton Police said they responded to a call at around 8 p.m. regarding a crash near the intersection of Broadway and West Powers Avenue.
Two drivers had been in a minor crash that escalated into an argument. When one of the drivers got out of their vehicle, the other driver ran them over and left the scene, police said.
The man who was hit was taken to a hospital and is in critical condition.
Officers later found the driver who they said fled the scene, identified by police as Rene Cooke, 41.
Cooke is suspected of vehicular assault and leaving the scene of a crash. He's being held in the Arapahoe County jail in lieu of $50,000 bail and is next due in court on Friday.
