COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Commerce City Police said a suspect is in custody for an outstanding felony warrant after officers searched for him in connection to a possible kidnapping incident Saturday.
Just before 10 a.m. Saturday, police said investigators were trying to locate Andrew Belrose, who they said was traveling with a woman who may be a victim of kidnapping Saturday.
Police then reported Belrose was arrested on an active felony warrant about two hours later. The woman is safe and an investigation is underway for the suspected kidnapping incident, police said.
Police did not say what Belrose was wanted for, or why they believed the woman was being held against her will.
Before the arrest, officers were able to locate the van after a 911 call, but Belrose and the woman did not cooperate with their commands to exit the van, police said.
