FORT COLLINS — A Fort Collins man has been arrested for animal cruelty after a cat was found dead inside his home with injuries consistent with abuse, Fort Collins Police said in a release.
On Wednesday, officers responded to a home on Stanford Road for a report of animal cruelty. Through the course of their investigation, officers located the deceased cat.
Bryan Hackleman, 24, was arrested for animal cruelty and booked into the Larimer County Jail. Police are partnering with Larimer County Animal Control to investigate the incident.
Fort Collins Police say they're investigating several reports of missing animals in the area surrounding Hackleman's home.
