The 21-year-old was arrested at the scene, and investigators said they believe the shooting was the result of a dispute.

BROOMFIELD, Colo — A 21-year-old woman was charged with multiple counts of attempted first-degree murder after a shooting at a Walmart in Broomfield Tuesday afternoon, according to the 17th Judaical District Attorney's Office.

Broomfield Police Department (BPD) said officers responded to 4651 W. 121st Ave. around 1:50 p.m. after receiving calls about shots being fired inside the store, and they arrested suspect Alyssa Borquez.

No injuries were reported, and BPD investigators said they believe the shooting was the result of a dispute between two people who knew each other.

Borquez is charged with one count of attempted first-degree murder after deliberation, and six counts of attempted first-degree murder with extreme indifference, officials said.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 19, and bond has been set at $50,000, according to the district attorney's office.

Another jurisdiction took an adult man into custody several hours after the shooting.

BPD said it is not identifying the man because the investigation is ongoing, and it's not clear if he will face any charges.

At this time no additional suspects have been charged, the DA said.
