Man arrested after woman found dead in Broomfield home

Police said officers conducted a welfare check and found the victim with apparent injuries.

BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Police said they have made an arrest after a woman was found dead Thursday in a neighborhood in northern Broomfield.

Daniel Krug, 43, was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of First Degree Murder. He is currently being held without bond until charges are formally filed.

Officers were called to a home in the 3100 block of Promontory Loop about 1 p.m. Thursday to conduct a welfare check. That's in the Anthem Highlands neighborhood, south of East Baseline Road and west of Sheridan Parkway. When officers arrived on scene, they found a deceased woman with apparent injuries, according to the Broomfield Police Department

The coroner's office identified the victim as Kristil Krug, 43.
