BOULDER, Colo. — A Jewish synagogue in Boulder canceled its services due to a bomb threat on Saturday.
The Boulder Police Department said in a release that officers responded to a bomb threat at Congregation Har HaShem on Baseline Road at around 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
After inspecting and clearing the area, police said, no threats were detected and there was no active public safety risk.
Police said the threat was sent to Har HaShem via email, and that multiple other Jewish synagogues in the surrounding area also received the email.
“Fortunately, we were able to respond quickly to this threat. We are glad to report that no bomb was found and nobody was hurt,” said Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold in a statement.
The synagogue posted a message on its website saying that services were canceled due to the threat. That statement has since been removed.
Boulder Police said the FBI has been informed of the threat, and that it is under investigation. Anyone who has any information about the incident is asked to call the non-emergency dispatch line at 303-441-3333.
