BOULDER, Colo. — A man who was accused of engaging in sex acts with underage girls while working at a Boulder pizza shop has pleaded guilty to two criminal charges.
Ilir "Jack" Sokolaj was arrested in May 2022 for alleged acts that happened in 2019 when he was 19 and the victims were 14, the Boulder Police Department (BPD) said.
On Friday, Sokolaj pleaded guilty to a felony charge of attempted sexual assault on a child and a misdemeanor third-degree assault charge.
The Boulder County District Attorney's Office said the attempted sexual assault plea carries a stipulation that Sokoloj will be sentenced to Sex Offender Intensive Supervision Probation. The misdemeanor charge will result in a jail sentence, of which the length will be up to the court.
The DA's office said the victims are in favor of the resolution of the case.
Sokolaj worked at a pizza place near Boulder High School on and off since 2018, police said. During that time, he had numerous contacts with students from the school.
Sentencing is set for April 28, 2023.
