BOULDER, Colo. — A man accused of attacking a woman in Boulder earlier this month has been arrested in Pennsylvania.

Jack Daniel Ulrey, 37, faces charges including second degree attempted murder, second-degree assault and domestic violence, according to the Boulder Police Department (BPD).

BPD said officers responded to the 2600 block of Juniper Avenue on Feb. 5 on a report of a woman with significant injuries. She was taken to the hospital for treatment. Police aren't saying exactly how she was injured. Her name has also not been released.

On Feb. 20, according to BPD, the U.S. Marshals Service found Ulrey in Allentown, Pa. and he was taken into custody without incident.

BPD said the arrest was the result of a "highly collaborative" investigation between BPD, the Boulder District Attorney's (DA) Office, the Department of Corrections and the U.S. Marshals.

"I am very proud of the work done by everyone, in this case, to relentlessly pursue this dangerous criminal and take him into custody," BPD Interim Police Chief Carey Weinheimer said

The DA's office will begin the process of extraditing Ulrey to Boulder County immediately.
