DENVER — Police are looking for the person who shot a man who was riding his bicycle in Denver.
The Denver Police Department (DPD) said a driver shot the cyclist in the arm near East 1st Avenue and Emerson Street just after 3 p.m. Thursday.
A witness told 9NEWS the cyclist was yelling at the driver through the intersection as they headed east on East 1st Avenue.
The driver then pulled into a parking area, the witness said, and that's when he heard a pop and saw the driver drive away.
The witness said he and another man helped the cyclist with his wound until police arrived.
Police have not released a description of the vehicle, but the witness described it as a white hatchback or compact SUV.
