According to police, the crash occurred at the intersection of N. Federal Boulevard and W. 14th Avenue just after 8 p.m. on Friday.

DENVER — Police said Saturday they have found the driver who left the scene of a crash that killed a pedestrian Friday night.

The Denver Police Department (DPD) said the crash happened at North Federal Boulevard and West 14th Avenue just after 8 p.m. Friday.

The driver then left the scene, DPD said.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Medina Alert issued a Medina Alert overnight with a description of the truck that was involved.

Police said Saturday afternoon that the truck and the suspected driver were found in the 5300 block of West Alameda Avenue in Lakewood.

A DPD spokesperson said someone who had seen the Medina Alert recognized the truck and called police.

The driver is identified as Francisco Duenas-Colmenares, 42. He is being held on a charge of leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death, according to police.

No information about the victim has been released.
