4 arrested in Aurora shooting

Aurora Police are investigating the shooting in the 1500 block of Nome Street.

AURORA, Colo. — Aurora Police have arrested four people, including a 19-year-old, in connection to a shooting that injured three people Sunday morning.

Police arrested Jhonnarty DeJesus Pacheco, 24, on charges of attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, illegal discharge of a firearm and reckless endangerment.

Police also arrested Nixon Jose Azuaje-Perez, 19, and Dixon J. Azujae-Perez, 20. Both were arrested on charges of tampering with physical evidence.

Jhonardy Pacheco-Chirino, 22, was also arrested, but those charges are pending. All four suspects are from Aurora.

Officers responded around 4:30 a.m. to the 1500 block of Nome Street for the reported shooting, between Colfax and 16th Avenue.

They found two men with gunshot wounds and a third man with a broken ankle who were all transported to the hospital.

Police said one of the men shot suffered life-threatening injuries, and the other two suffered injuries that were described as serious.
