Man who was shot at Aurora park dies from his injuries

Police said they're looking for two suspects after the shooting Thursday at Montview Park.

AURORA, Colo. — A man died after a shooting Thursday afternoon in an Aurora park, police said on Friday.

Aurora Police are looking for two suspects connected to the shooting.

Officers responded to the shooting Thursday afternoon at Montview Park, near Chester Street and East Montview Boulevard.

A man was shot and was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the police department. The man later died from his injuries, police said.

Police initially said they had arrested one suspect and were looking for another. They later issued a correction on X saying that no one had been arrested and they were still looking for both suspects.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
