AURORA, Colo. — Police are seeking tips from the public after a man was found lying in the street with a gunshot wound last month.
According to Aurora Police, a resident in the area of East 19th Avenue and Kingston Street called 911 around 2:45 p.m. on Oct. 12 after finding the victim in the street. The victim, identified as 26-year-old Mario Arturo Lopez-Alvarado, was taken to the hospital, where he died.
It's been a month since his death and police said Wednesday they have no suspects in the killing and have made no arrests.
Homicide detectives are hoping to speak with anyone familiar with Lopez-Alvarado and who has information about his activities in the days leading up to the shooting.
They're also asking residents who live near East 19th Avenue and Kingston Street to review their surveillance camera footage from Oct. 12 and check for any video of the shooting or other suspicious activity.
