AURORA, Colo. — Aurora Police have arrested a man in connection to a fatal shooting near East Colfax Avenue and North Havana Street.
Aurora Police arrested 72-year-old Bennie Green Jr. in connection to the shooting that left a man dead Saturday.
The Aurora Police Department said in a release that officers responded to the southwest corner of East Colfax Avenue and North Havana Street just after 2 p.m. Saturday for reports of a shooting.
When they got there, police said, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital, where he died soon after.
Police believe the shooting was targeted and that Green and the victim knew each other.
The circumstances of the shooting are unknown, according to police.
The victim will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner's Office.
