The shooting was reported in the 9500 Block of East 14th Avenue at around 8.45 a.m., said spokesman Chris Amsler in an e-mail. Details on what led up to the shooting are limited, but police are investigating the incident as a homicide.

Both victims were taken to a local hospital, where one died from his injuries. The other victim is expected to survive.
