AURORA, Colo. — Colorado State Patrol (CSP) troopers are looking for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that took place in Aurora on Saturday morning.
The crash happened on southbound Interstate 225 at Parker Road (Highway 83), according to a CSP spokesperson. It was first called in just after 11:40 a.m. Saturday, when someone reported two vehicles were blocking the road, the spokesperson said.
According to the spokesperson, the driver of a black SUV collided with an Acura MDX, causing that driver to crash into a wall. The SUV driver then sped off, the spokesperson said.
The Acura MDX driver, a woman, sustained minor injuries and was not taken to a hospital, according to the spokesperson.
Traffic in the area of the crash is moving again.
A search for the SUV driver is underway. Witnesses of the crash are asked to call CSP dispatch at 303-239-4501 and reference case #1C243004.
