AURORA, Colo. — Aurora Police said they are investigating a shooting in which a man died early Friday morning.
Officers responded about 3:30 a.m. in the area of East Colfax Avenue and Peoria Street and found the victim, later identified as Preston Guillory, with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police said it appeared the shooting was targeted but did not provide additional details or suspect information.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation.
From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
