Police looking for car involved in 2022 homicide

AURORA, Colo. — The Aurora Police Department (APD) is asking for the public's help in locating a dark gray sedan that was involved in a 2022 shooting that left one person dead.

On Thursday, Aurora Police released surveillance photos of the suspect vehicle, which appears to be a Mercedes C class.

The shooting happened during a house party at 1545 Dallas St. in Aurora on Jan. 30, 2022, according to APD. The suspect vehicle stopped outside of the Dallas Street home, and suspects got out of the car. The suspects then started to shoot at the home, hitting two people inside, police said.

One of the shooting victims died as a result of their injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or visit metrodenvercrimestoppers.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000. 

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
