BRIGHTON, Colo. — A non-custodial mother was arrested after an Amber Alert was canceled for three children who were found safe Saturday morning.
At 11:36 a.m. the alert was canceled by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, about an hour after it was sent out. The alert was sent out after family members who have legal custody of the children reported they were missing from their home, Brighton Police said.
Their 30-year-old mother was arrested on suspicion of violating a parental custody order and abducting her three biological children. Police said she also had an active warrant out of Denver for child abuse.
