Man shoots at clerk after shoplifting at 7-Eleven, sheriff's office says

Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office said a clerk was shot at after confronting two men who were shoplifting at the store located on South Parker Road.

DENVER — The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting during a reported shoplifting at a 7-Eleven in southeast Denver Saturday morning.

The shooting happened around 6 a.m. at the store, which is located at 1120 S. Parker Rd. 

Two men in their late teens or early 20s were reportedly confronted by the clerk while they were shoplifting, the sheriff's office said.

When the clerk ran out of the store to chase them, one of the men pulled out a gun and shot at the clerk one time, missing him, according to the sheriff's office.

The men then got in a waiting car described as a gray Nissan SUV driven by a third man and drove north on Parker.

No injuries were reported.
