Multiple agencies are investigating five smash-and-grabs that happened overnight near the area of East Arapahoe Road and South Parker Road.
At about 4:30 a.m., the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office was called to a burglarized strip mall at 16350 East Arapahoe Road.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they noticed three businesses with their windows smashed out.
About 10 minutes later, Aurora Police received a call about two businesses burglarized in the 15400 block of East Briarwood Circle – about a mile away from the earlier smash-and-grabs.
The sheriff’s office is now working with the Aurora Police Department to determine if the incidents are related.
It’s unclear if anything was stolen from the businesses, but crews are still on site conducting their investigation.
