Two men are in custody almost a month after a 25-year-old man was gunned down during a street robbery in Denver’s Baker neighborhood, according to a news release from the Denver Police Department.
The suspects, 20-year-old Ibrahim Amir Musa and 18-year-old Husham Al Kinani, are being held for investigation of first-degree murder and investigation of aggravated robbery, Denver police said.
The victim, Thomas Steen, was shot on Oct. 18 near First and Bannock Streets, according to DPD. Investigations said Musa and Kinani shot him after robbing three victims as they were walking home.
Steen died at the hospital a few days later.
According to jail records, Musa was booked into the Downtown Detention Center on Monday. He is being held without bond.
Kinani was arrested back on Oct. 30, according to jail records. His next court appearance is on Nov. 27.
