Run for the Ring 5K Run/Walk returns August 3

Run for the Ring invites participants to make a difference for people with type 1 diabetes.

AURORA, Colo. — The Ring 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run returns for a 10th year on Saturday, Aug. 3, in Aurora.

Proceeds from the event support The Guild of the Children’s Diabetes Foundation (CDF), which works to help the patients living with type 1 diabetes at the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes (BDC).

The 5K Run/Walk is a professionally timed race that begins at 8 a.m. and culminates with a foam party at the finish line. 

Kids between the ages of two and ten can also participate in the Kids Fun Run on Saturday, Aug. 3.

On race day, registration begins at 7 a.m. at the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus.

Registration for the 5K Run/Walk and Fun Run includes breakfast bites, a timing chip (5K only), a race bib, entrance to the Exhibitor Expo, and a Run for the Ring performance t-shirt. 

Winners from each age group will be awarded a medal during an awards ceremony following the 5K.
