Boulder Police are warning motorists about a “rash” of stolen vehicles.

KUSA - Boulder Police are warning motorists about a “rash” of stolen vehicles.

Since Dec. 1, 2015, 26 cars have been reported stolen, according to a police statement. Most of the cars were unlocked or running or had keys in them when they were stolen.

“Investigators believe that an organized group driving a light colored minivan is responsible for many, if not all, of the thefts,” according to the statement.

The statement continues:

Anyone with information regarding the possible identity of the suspect(s) responsible for these vehicle thefts is asked to call Detective Kipp Euler at 303- 441-3393. Those who have information but wish to remain anonymous may contact the Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tips may also be submitted through the Crime Stoppers website at crimeshurt.com. Those submitting tips through Crime Stoppers that lead to the arrest and filing of charges on a suspect(s) may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers.
