DOUGLAS COUNTY - Colorado state troopers are investigating a fatal crash that happened just after 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Trooper Nate Reid said at least two vehicles were involved in the crash. The wreck happened on Highway 83 about six miles south of Franktown.
Franktown Fire tweeted two people had been killed. Three others were being flown by helicopter to hospitals for treatment.
Troopers said Highway 83 was closed for quite some time while they investigate, but it reopened at midnight.
