BRIGHTON - A two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning involving a motorcycle has left one person dead.
According to Brighton Police, the motorcycle was heading northbound on Highway 85 approaching 168th Avenue. Simultaneously, a Ford Escape was driving southbound on Highway 85 and attempted to turn east onto 168th Avenue. The motorcycle struck the Ford Escape broadside and both vehicles came to a stop in the intersection.
The motorcycle rider was ejected and died from his injuries at the scene.
The motorcycle rider has been identified as Myron L. Edwards, 53, from Henderson. The driver of the Ford Escape was identified as Edwin Fontes, 25, of Brighton.
Alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be a factor.
The crash is still under investigation.
