KUSA – The Consumer Product Safety Commission is warning owners of a certain model of electric space heater to unplug the unit and stop using it after reports of units melting and catching fire.
About 31,000 Duraflame heaters affected by the recall are model DSF-220. The units were sold in three colors: black, red and white. The model number can be found on a white label located on the heater's back panel.
The units were sold at Farmer's Furniture, Meijer, QVC, R.C. Willey, Ross and other retailers nationwide and online at Maxtool.com between August 2013 and January 2014.
