EVERGREEN, Colo. — An 8,663-square-foot home in Evergreen owned by a late telecommunications industry titan is now for sale.

The home, at 33114 Upper Bear Creek Road, Evergreen, belongs to David Ruberg — who died in November — and his wife Tara Ruberg.

David Ruberg led several companies during the telecom boom of the ‘90s. He was the CEO of Tampa, Florida-based exchange carrier Intermedia Communications and CEO of Digex, one of the first internet service providers in the U.S. He also served as CEO of Interxion, a major data center operator in Europe, from 2007 to 2020.

“Although [Tara] put her heart and soul into the home, a change of life circumstances has given her the desire to be closer to family in Boulder,” said listing agent Heather Ehret-Faircloth, with Camber Realty.

The Rubergs purchased the home in January 2022 for $3.9 million, according to Jefferson County property records.

The five-bedroom, eight-bathroom home is now for sale with a list price of $7.2 million.
