LAKE CITY, Colo. — For a little less than a million dollars, a piece of Colorado history can be yours.
Sotheby's International Realty has listed a 305-acre property in Hinsdale County that features more than 30 patented mining claims and "multiple" historic mining buildings.
The southwest Colorado ghost town, which also features ponds, creeks, and "views that seem never ending," can be had for $925,000.
"When you arrive on the property you can feel the history," the listing says. "Ore was originally found in the Carson Mining District in 1881, and countless people came to the area over the years in search of their fortune."
The listing also touts the property's versatility. It says the "historic masterpiece" could be used as a family retreat, hunting lodge, summer camp, or backcountry ski outfit.
"Don't miss out on the chance to own such a historic property," the listing says.
