CHERRY HILLS VILLAGE, Colo. — A Cherry Hills country club plans to lay off 73% of its workers just before the winter holidays as the golf course starts a $35 million renovation of its indoor facilities.
Glenmoor Country Club, 110 Glenmoor Dr. in Cherry Hills Village, filed a notice with Colorado labor officials this week saying it planned to cut the jobs of 110 employees involved in restaurant work, food preparation, banquet services, the golf pro shop, locker room attendants, golf course maintenance and other work starting Dec. 15.
That’s when the Glenmoor Country Club’s indoor facilities will shut down for construction expected to stretch to Memorial Day 2026, when new facilities are expected to reopen, said Monica Mueller, human resources director for the club.
“We are planning a $35 million renovation of our clubhouse,” she said. “It's a project voted on and approved by our members."
The Glenmoor golf course and tennis facilities will stay open throughout the renovation project, weather permitting. The club’s pool will open again next spring.
