Frozen peas recalled due to health risk

HelloFresh, of New York, is recalling frozen peas due to a potential health threat.

The supplier of the peas says they could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The peas were included in HelloFresh recipe kits that were delivered the week of June 11 through 15 and the weeks of March 12 through 25.

Colorado is included in the recall.

Other states in the recall include New Mexico, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida and Georgia.

The peas were part of the meals "Summer Vegetable Salad with Seared Chicken, Garlic Croutons and Mustard-Chive Vinaigrette" (with delivery dates June 11 through 15), "Lemony Pan-Seared Chicken with Pesto Potato Salad and Peas" (with dates March 12 through 18), "Seared Steak with Spring Veggie Succotash and Mint-Chive Pesto" and "Nir's Lamb-Stuffed Zucchini with Spiced Lentil Stew," (both with delivery dates of March 19 through 25).

No cases of illness have been reported.

If you have any of these products, throw out the entire recipe kit and don't eat any of the ingredients from the recipe.

Symptoms of Listeria include: high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. In young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems, Listeria can be fatal.
