Downtown Denver's Writer Square, which includes a mix of office and retail space, has been sold for $96 million.

The property was last acquired in 2013 by a partnership consisting of Unico Properties LLC and La Salle Investment Management as part of the beginning of a Denver buying spree on Unico's part. At the time, $4 million in capital improvements for the property were planned.

Writer Square was purchased by an entity called GKT Writer Square LLC, which is registered with the Colorado Secretary of State's office to Bruce Glazer, executive vice president and CFO of Kroenke Sports & Entertainment.

Kroenke also owns the Pepsi Center, as well as the Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Rams.
