The most expensive hotel this summer in Colorado isn't in Aspen or Vail

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL — Hotel visitors this summer aren't going to find the state's most expensive hotel rooms in places like Aspen or Vail.

Rather, Boulder tops the list of the state's most expensive hotel rooms this summer, according to a new report by CheapHotels.org.

Boulder's the only city in the state with average hotel rooms costing more than $200, with the average rate for the cheapest available double room from August 1 to 31 of $204 per night.

Even Fort Collins topped Vail and Aspen in August, coming in No. 2 with an average rate of $184, a dollar more than Aspen's $183.
