DENVER — Several buyers are positioning themselves to become the new owners of Denver's best-known bookstore.
At least eight potential buyers have filed paperwork stating their interest in buying the historic Tattered Cover bookstores, owned and operated by Bended Page, LLC. The interested parties have signed nondisclosure agreements and remain anonymous, according to a May 20 filing with U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado.

Bended Page, LLC has also been contacted by “various other parties” who have expressed interest in participating in the sale process but have yet to deliver the necessary paperwork, the company said.
The auction proceedings, which will occur virtually and are open to the public, will take place at 10 a.m. June 12.
