DENVER — After more than 130 years of business as Sherman & Howard, the Denver-based firm said Monday the time has come to grow into something new.
Sherman & Howard has reached agreement to merge Jan. 1 with Taft, a decentralized law firm with nine offices, mostly in the Midwest, the firm told the Denver Business Journal.
Founded in Cincinnati, Taft boasts a similar history of nearly 140 years; today it has 925 lawyers.
The combined firms expect to have 1,050 lawyers in 10 states, plus Washington, D.C., and annual revenue of $875 million, according to their joint announcement.
